As any iPad owner knows the official Apple app store features a never-ending list of applications and programs for almost any use. These include apps that can help you with DIY, reading or even advanced apps for medical use. With that in mind here are a few of our favourites available at the moment:
Firstly we have Reeder, an app which is a streamlined RSS reader that allows easy access to your RSS feeds. Its main rival is Google’s Reader which some users feel has an overcomplicated interface. The creator, Silvio Rizzi, took this into consideration and put together an easy to use RSS reader that works straight after you’ve downloaded it.
Next we have something a little more fun, Songify, an app created by online superstars The Gregory Brothers. The group made a name for themselves on sites such as YouTube by creating auto-tuned songs out of famous clips and new broadcasts. The app allows you to speak into the mic on your iPhone or iPad which will then be set to music including the hugely popular ‘Double Rainbow’.
MarsEdit is a surprisingly powerful app that allows you to create, manage and edit blogs within the app. It is compatible with most popular blogging sites including Blogger, Tumblr and WordPress. This is especially useful if you run a company blog that requires daily updates. The only downside is the price of £27.99 which is quite expensive for an app. However, the sophistication and usability of the application justifies the initial payment.
