New iPad 3 photos released?

Pictures purported to be of the iPad 3 and iPad 3 case have been leaked by a Chinese magazine’s website, suggesting a thicker width than the current iPad model.

If they are genuine photos then previous predictions about the new iPad designs have been fairly accurate.

Experts have been suggesting for months that the new Apple iPad tablet would be thicker than its predecessor in order to allow for the LED lighting which will enhance the screen image.

The thickness is said to be noticeable but not obvious, a range of between one millimetre and 1.5 millimetres if reports are to be believed.

To make up for the thicker size, the back is supposedly slightly curved downwards towards the edges, which themselves have been made sharper.

So that the retina display pixel screens can be supported, Apple has also had to enlarge the battery life so that it still stays at ten hours before charging is required, despite using more power than earlier iPads.

Apple have had to have been careful with their new tablet as the device still has to be comfortable to hold, no matter how much technology is to be fitted in it.

Despite thoughts that Apple may try to cut the size of the iPad screen, it is still reputedly at 9.7 inches, showing no change from the other Apple iPads. Clearly if nothing else Steve Jobs’ views on the iPads were listened to.

One thing which has been noticed which was not previously considered is the camera hole which appears larger. It means that the iPad 3 may be able to take better photos which could be uploaded for the expected eight pixel sensor.
