Apple Mac Mini’s provide a powerful yet discrete solution for office and exhibition use, and with its sleek design is one of ITR’s most popular rental lines. This model is available from a Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, i5 2.5Ghz or Mac Mini Server with a 2.6Ghz processor and 2 x 500Gb Hard Drives.
Mac Mini’s can be particulary useful on exhibition stands where there is limited space, being used to run touchscreens or mounted behind LCD/LED screens to offer an invisible solution. As with all our Mac equipment, these can be dual booted to run Windows 7 as well as your standard Mac OS.
A recent enquiry came through to install 40″ screens as part of a retail window display to show a loop of video footage advertising products available in store. This scheme was to be trialled in 4 locations across London in WC2, E20, W12 and DA9, with a second wave being rolled out in Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds. As there was very limited room to work with, and the fact that the designer has created a bespoke plinth to display the screens on a standard laptop or even small form factor PC would have been too large.
My solution was to use a Mac Mini which our technical team could pre-load with the customers video and attach to the rear of the screen resulting in the perfect fix for this customers requirement.
